We try to give you a good mix of heavy breed males fit for the fryer. We include a couple of pullets (females) to provide you with a few eggs to eat. All this at a Special Low Price. We do not guarantee breed choice or give you the choice of breed. No cornish broilers are sent with this offering.
Hatchery Choice are shipped at 1 day of age, the chicks arrive at your post office at 2-3 days of age

My name is Mel Howton. In the very early spring of 2016 I ordered item #1205 from you, the Special Heavy Assortment. I ordered 25 and you sent 27. Every one of them lived and were healthy. We ate all the cockerels and the five pullets that were included turned out to be great laying hens. They have supplied us with an abundance of eggs ever since. One of the pullets turned out to be our best hen. She was the only chicken of this breed in the assortment. She has a great disposition, is smart and gives us a beautiful reddish brown egg nearly every day. I would like to order some more of her breed when these hens play out. Thanks

When it comes to mail-order chicks…you guys are the cock of the walk!
This was our first time ordering chicks through the mail. We watched all the informative videos on your website and decided to give your hatchery a try. We ordered 25 of the assorted heavy breed special just because they were cheap! Much to our delight, 27 came in the box and every chick was very healthy and active when I picked them up at the post office. We put them in our pre-set up brooder and they are eating and drinking well and continue to be very active. We couldn’t be happier at this point. We look forward to ordering more chicks from you in the future!
